Want to speak the Italian Language with other "appassionati" della Bella Lingua? Make new friends and network with native and non-native Italian speakers? Looking to maintain or improve your Italian language skills?
You've come to the right Meetup Group. The Italian Conversation Group offers you that opportunity. We schedule a variety of events that provide our "soci" with the opportunity to speak Italian at an intermediate or higher level.
We have a fixed, monthly meetup and usually schedule an additional 2-4 events during the month. Here's a selection of events we've held in the past:
"Porta da Mangiare e Bere" feste (pot-luck buffet)
"Pizze Fatte da Noi" (homemade pizza)
"Spaghetti Cena" (spaghetti dinner)
"Cena e Cinema" to screen Italian language films (dinner & a movie)
"Ora Felice dopo Lavoro" (Happy Hour after work)
"La Grigliata" (BBQs)
"Mangiamo Insieme" (fixed price Italian restaurant dining)
We also post activities that other Italian groups are organizing and keep an eye out for Italian cultural events that would enable conversation in Italian.

Lo scopo principale del nostro gruppo è l'uso della lingua italiana, una delle più belle ed interessanti lingue del mondo, in un ambiente accogliente e simpatico. Chi volesse unirsi a noi è pregato di iscriversi e di assistere alle riunioni ed eventi programmati durante l'anno. Il nostro gruppo accoglie gli appassionati della lingua e cultura italiana senza pregiudizi anche con una conoscenza a zero della lingua. Si impara ascoltando, parlando, leggendo e socializzando per cui è un dato di fatto che imparerai qualche cosa facendo parte del nostro gruppo.

In short, the main goal of the Italian Language Meetup Group is to use Italian as a way to socialize, experience and appreciate the Italian culture. Italian is on of the most beautiful and interesting languages in the world and we welcome people of all backgrounds and linguistic competence, even if you have zero knowledge of Italian. We learn by talking, listening, reading and socializing.
